Greg and Sue Smith are two of the original founders of LUCHA Ministries, Inc., in 2004. As Field Personnel with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, they continue to serve in different capacities through LUCHA. Sue serves as the Executive Director and Social Worker, and Greg directs the Immigration Legal Services Program.
An ordained minister, Greg has worked in Latin America and served in various denominational organizations, primarily in the area of leadership development and theological education. He holds BA, M.Div, and MA degrees as well as a Th.M and Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies. Greg is an Accredited Representative through the US Department of Justice.
Sue Smith brings experience from designing and coordinating various community development and disaster response projects in Latin America and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Peace and Development Studies as a Rotary Peace Fellow. She holds a BA in Business Administration along with M.Div. and MSW degrees. She earned a D.Min. in Pastoral Care, is a Licensed Master of Social Work, and has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
